July 1st 2024 NEW LAWS FOR MASSAGE ESTABLISHMENT
As of July 1st, 2024, the laws have changed regarding how Massage Businesses operate in the state of Florida.
Because of these new laws Massage Star will be doing the following.
1. Any person receiving a massage must have a Gov't ID with picture.
2. Passports, Driver's License issued from US states or ID cards are good.
3. NO FOREIGN CREDENTIALS EXCEPT PASSPORTS ACCEPTED.
4. All appointments are booked online !!!

House Bill 197 was passed by the Florida Legislature to regulate certain healthcare practitioners and massage therapy establishments. Effective from July 1, 2024, this legislation enhances oversight to eliminate illicit activities operating under the guise of massage therapy. It requires the Department of Health (DOH) to report specific data, authorizes the suspension of licenses for certain healthcare practitioners and massage establishments in certain circumstances, revises advertising requirements for massage therapists and establishments, and prohibits establishments from sheltering or harboring individuals or being used as sleeping quarters. Additionally, DOH investigators are now required to request government identification from all employees in massage establishments, and the definition of “unlicensed massage establishment” has been revised

We are currently following all State and CDC guidelines regarding COVID. We have hand sanitizer stations throughout the store, and we sanitize each massage table after every use, per Florida Statue. Also, we use fresh linens for all clients.
***Minors, anyone who is not 18 years old, can get massages ONLY with parent or legal guardian in the room. They must be present during the entire time the minor is getting a massage.
